Happy Abundant 2012!

I want to wish everyone a very happy new year ~ this big year of so much anticipation! 2012 is here at last.

A time of prophesy, of east and west coming together, of the potential for us all to consciously co-create the life we want.....for ourselves personally but also most essentially one that is in harmony with Pachamama, Mother Earth, Gaia.

We are the change we've been waiting to see in the world!

It's here! Time to get with the program! Mother Earth's program that is. 

After all we have all been co creating for millenia....difference is we have been made to be acutely aware of the effects of our actions more and more so in recent years and more and more of us are waking up to the seriousness of us exploiting our mother for our own material gains. She is clearly telling us it is not in our interests to continue the way we have been. How important it is that we get together and create a new way of living more gently, with less of a footprint on her belly. 

In healthy societies growing up requires us to be good children, to honor and respect our elders, our relations, our community. And more than ever we live in a global community where we realize we are all so interconnected.....and we are all dependent on the benevolence and abundance of Pachamama, Mother Earth.

Our own fragility as a species came home to me so vividly after watching a new movie out on rental called Contagen. If you want a wake up call and to see an example of how at the mercy of Mother Earth we really are this movie will deliver! Based on a new flu epidemic outbreak that is killing people in days it shows the rapid spread of the disease from Hong Kong to the US to Europe in a matter of days. This could happen for real. We can no longer hide away all safe and protected in 'our country' and think we will remain immune.

The same message is there for us with regards to exploiting the planet and her energy resources.

So now for the positive reframe ~ what I am increasingly seeing is such a wave of love and appreciation happening towards our Mother as we move away from fear and into pro action. As more and more of us are awakening to the fact that we are all interconnected we are witnessing a beautiful coming together of people on the grass roots level, of community building and it feels really good!

I always bring the new year by having my own reflective time with ceremony where I create my own despacho (prayer bundle) with all my wishes for the upcoming year, for our planet, for all our relations and this gets offered sacredly into a fire in ceremony. I love this way to begin the new cycle. I reflect on what has passed in the year just ended and I critique myself...pats on the back for things well done, and a pull up my socks pep talk for those things I could have done better and this fuels more determination and will to do better this new year. I hope to honor Mother Earth more so this year than ever. 

I was so delighted to have 17 other dedicated people join me in doing the same on my Manifesting Dreams 2012 retreat on New Years Day. We were standing shoulder to shoulder at the fire and I couldn't have fitted anyone else in my home. And as I looked around at everyone honoring themselves, their dreams and the fire ceremony I felt this new optimism, this deep desire of people awakening to their full potential and it felt exciting.
